Brownies
Makes 30-40 squares
200 g dark cooking chocolate
50 g butter
2 eggs
115 g sugar
1 tsp vanilla sugar
75 g plain flour
0,5 tsp baking powder
about 60 g chopped walnuts
Preheat the oven to 175°C.
Break the chocolate into pieces and melt it.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the butter, a spoonful at a time.
Beat the eggs, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Stir in the chocolate.
Add the flour, baking powder and chopped nuts and stir into the chocolate mixture until smooth.
Make a paper case out of baking paper (approx. 20 x 25 cm).
Brush the paper with the melted margarine and dust with breadcrumbs.
Pour in the mixture and bake in the middle of the oven for 20-25 minutes.
The cake should be dry on the outside but slightly sticky and moist on the inside.
Leave to cool slightly then cut into squares. Store in an airtight container.
