Makes 6 helpings
1 kg apples
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
100 g plain flour
100 g butter at room temperature
95 g brown sugar

Preheat the oven to 200°C. Peel, slice and core the apples. Place them into a paper case. Sift the sugar and cinnamon over the apples. Quickly mix the flour and butter together. Stir in the brown sugar using a fork. Add a few drops of water. Sprinkle the mixture on top of the apples. Bake for about 30 minutes.Suggestions for serving: Serve with thick natural yoghurt, strained and flavoured withsome orange rind and vanilla sugar.
